Chaha

A cup of tea
finally

one sip
and before i take the next
an eternity!

Into the steady act of emptying
the cup
i empty myself .

As i feel it trickle down the throat,
i throw my gaze as far as it can go..

then over the fallen leaf i let it fall
hanging uncertain over an unusual shape
drifting mindlessly through the throng

With a deep breath
And an unexplainable sigh of a lover,
i return to the cup for another sip

The cup is long emptied!
But i am here,
Still drinking!

मला आयुष्यात पुढे जायचय!

A brilliant conversation occurred between me and my friend today who has recently moved to the US for higher studies. He was generally blabbering about what all he needs to get done in the coming year and the coming five years and then what he intends to do with that in the future. But suddenly we both ended up saying something so beautiful that both of us just burst into a spontaneous laughter and the conversation took a completely different turn. I have typed out that essential part of the conversation below. Sorry for it being in marathi. But i simply cannot translate something like that without making it completely pointless.
